Enabling the User-Centric Economy
Web 2.0 has great promise: users in charge, empowered communities,
applications spanning many devices, remixed information everywhere.
But so far, progress has been hampered by vendor-centric stovepipes:
too many usernames and passwords, too many information islands, and
too many incompatible devices.
We believe it's time to put Web 2.0 on a solid foundation. We are starting
with the identity layer, because without user-centric identity,
there is no user-centric economy. Much more is still to come.
